Day
01: On Arrival meet our representative at the Cochin International Airport/Railway
Station and transfer to your Hotel. Afternoon you can go for sightseeing in
Cochin. Visiting Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace and Jew Town at Mattancherry,
Santa Cruz Basilica, St. Francis Church and Chinese fishing Nets at Fort Cochin.
Overnight stay at Cochin.
Day 02: After Breakfast check out from your hotel and proceed to Munnar,
This hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government
in south India. Sprawling Tea Plantations, Picture-book towns, winding lanes
and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. On the way visit Cheeyapara
Water falls and Valara Water falls. Check in to your hotel by noon. Evening
visit Pothamedu viewpoint, Head works Dam and Blossom International Park. Overnight
stay at Munnar.
Day 03: After Breakfast you can go for sight seeing in Munnar. Visit,
Rajamala – The natural habitat of Nilgiri Tahr. Half of the population
of the rare mountain goat [Hemitragas hylocres], which is fast becoming extinct,
is now found here. Eravikulam National park – the home of Nilgiri Tahr.
Mattupetty Lake and Dam is a very beautiful picnic spot [DTPC Idukki provides
Boating in the Dam]. Echo point – The scenic place gets its name from the
natural echo phenomenon. And Kundale Dam – It’s a picturesque on the
way to Top station. The Golf Course, which belongs to Tata Tea Ltd., is located
here. The Kundala Artificial dam is another attraction. Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day
04: After Breakfast check out from your hotel and proceed to Thekkady on
the way visit Lockhart Gap – The fresh Mountain air, the mist-clad hills
and panoramic view make it worthy of a visit, Powerhouse water falls and Anayirangal
Dam. Check in to your hotel at Thekkady. Afternoon visit Spice Plantations of
Cardamom, Coffee, Tea, Pepper Etc… Overnight stay at Thekkady.
Day 05: After Breakfast, Visit ‘The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary’
– Lying close to the plantations, in the rich jungles of Periyar in Thekkady
is one of the fascinating natural wildlife reserves. It’s spread across
777 sq. km, of which 360 sq. km is thick evergreen forest. This is the only
sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife
at close quarters from the safety of a boat in the lake. Evening Wildlife Boating
in Periyar Lake. Overnight stay at Thekkady.
Day 06: After Breakfast, Check out from your hotel and proceed to Kumarakom.
It is a beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, Emerald green paddy fields and
Coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways. Situated on the Vembanad
Lake. Check into your Resort. Afternoon, visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, an
ornithologist’s paradise, is a favorite haunt of migratory birds like the
Siberian Stork, Egret, Darter, Heron and Teal. Evening Sunset Cruise in the
Vembanad Lake. Overnight stay at Kumarakom.
Day
07: After Breakfast, check out and proceed to Alleppey. Check in to Houseboat
by noon, Enjoy cruise through narrow canals, coir villages, Paddy Fields of
Alleppey Backwaters. A houseboat [Kettuvallom] is about 67 feet in length and
has a width of around 13 feet in the middle. The materials that go into the
making are all local and Eco friendly bamboo poles, coconut fiber ropes, bamboo
mats, coir carpets etc. The main wood used is "Anjili". Overnight
stay at House Boat.
Day 08: After Breakfast check out from Houseboat and proceed to Kovalam.
Check in to your hotel. Kovalam is a internationally renowned beach with three
adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favourite haunt of tourists, especially
Europeans, since the 1930s. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created
a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing. The leisure options at
this beach are plenty and diverse-sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages,
special cultural programmes, Catamaran cruising etc. Evening leisure at Beach.
Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 09: After Breakfast you can go for Sightseeing in Trivandrum. Visit
Padmanabha swamy temple dedicated to ‘Lord Vishnu’, Kuthiramalika
Palace which is a rare specimen of workmanship in the traditional Travancore
style of Architecture, Napier Museum, Sree chithra art gallery and The Zoological
Park. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 10: After Breakfast check out from your hotel and proceed to Trivandrum
International Airport/Railway Station. Depart with the sweet memories of Tour.
